- SURGICAL MASK:
They serve to protect others, not you. They are disposable, they cannot be reused.
- SELF-FILTERING MASK (FFP1, FFP2 I FFP3):
They are used to protect others and yourself. They are so called because they filter out suspended particles. The difference between types FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 is that the higher the number the greater the protection.
They can only be reused if they are marked with the R, some have an expiration date.
They do not replace the above but can have a hygienic function and help prevent the expulsion of droplets that we cough, sneeze or talk.
OTHER TYPES OF PROTECTION:
- FACIAL SHIELD OR FACE PROTECTIVE MASK:
It is another option to protect yourself. It is designed to act as a barrier and prevent contagion via fluids, protects the eyes, nose, and mouth. Its use is compatible with respiratory protection masks.
They can be 100% plastic (PET or polycarbonate) or there is also a type made of cardboard with a plastic visor.
This type of facial protection reduces a very important part of exposure to the virus but also allows you to communicate very well with others thanks to a good visibility of the expressions of the face and lips.
- PROTECTIVE GOODS:+
These are gowns that are worn after the “protective screen” and / or the mask. They are mostly used by medical professionals and are disposable.
- PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT):
It is the set of elements that protect oneself. They are part of this protective equipment: gloves, masks, gowns, screens, glasses…
IN ADDITION TO WHAT WE HAVE SAID, WASHING YOUR HANDS DURING A MINIMUM OF 20 SECONDS WITH SOAP AND WATER HELPS CUT THE TRANSMISSION OF THE VIRUS:
WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE AND AFTER:
- To go to the toilet
- Of the different activities
- Going to the yard
- MAKE A GOOD WASH OF 20 SECONDS.
FINALLY, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP A SAVE DISTANCE (1,5 metres, minimum)
REMEMBER: MASK + WASH HANDS + DISTANCE
If you have symptoms of the disease (cough, fever, malaise …) stay at home!
